In memory of our sweet Winnie, I created Winnie’s Light— a collection of cement keepsake pieces made for anyone who has loved and lost a pet.

After losing Winnie, I wanted a way to keep her close— something more intentional than ashes on a shelf. Our fur babies are never with us long enough, and knowing how to honor them can be overwhelming.

This offering was created for others who are walking through the same kind of loss. Each piece is designed to hold a small portion of your pet’s ashes, transforming them into something lasting and meaningful.

A quiet way to honor them, and carry their love and light with you always.

How It Works

I understand that handing over your loved one’s remains is a deeply personal and emotional step. My goal is to make this process feel as gentle, respectful, and transparent as possible every step of the way.

Choose your keepsake piece
Select the memorial style that feels most meaningful to you— whether its a candle to keep their light shining or a palm heart to hold close. Each piece is handcrafted with care and intention.

2. Place your order

Customize colors, and more for your selected piece(s). Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions for the next steps.

3. Handing off ashes

You will be guided on how to package the remains securely for drop off— for St. Louis locals, porch drop off is in South City/63109.

Only a small amount of ashes is needed pending your keepsake item(s) chosen:

Palm Heart— 1 Tbsp (per heart)

Octagon Candle— 1/4 cup (per vessel)

4. Creation Process

Each piece is made by hand in my studio, where your loved one’s ashes are carefully and respectfully incorporated in to the cement material. This process is done slowly and intentionally— never rushed.

On the order form you’ll include design customization, along with your pet’s name, and you can even share a song that reminds you of them that will be part of the creative soundtrack. These personal details help guide the energy and intention of the piece. I hold space for that connection throughout the process and often speak to your pet while creating, so the piece becomes not just physical, but deeply personal and spiritual as well.

5. Completion & Turnaround Time

Once your pet’s ashes are received, please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for completion + 1-2 weeks for candle fills. I will always keep you updated along the way, and reach out should I need additional information.

After your memorial pieces cure, I will ensure they are sanded, sealed, and thoughtfully packaged in a keepsake box.

Candle orders will be picked up at Urban Candle Co at 4920 Hampton Ave, 63109.

Palm Heart orders will be picked up in South City (same as drop off).

PALM HEART KEEPSAKE

The palm heart is a beautiful way to honor your fur baby. It’s deeply symbolic- representing love, connection and grief. It fits within the palm of your hand so you can hold onto it for comfort, or display it as a reminder that they’ll be with you always.

KEEPSAKE PROCESS:

You will provide (drop off) 1 Tbsp of your pets ashes
- 1 Tbsp of ashes is needed per palm heart
- A durable ziploc bag works well for transit, and then place in a drawstring muslin bag if you have it or paper bag for local drop. Include your name, pets name and mobile # on bag
- Drop off/pickup details provided at checkout, and included with order confirmation email
  - Currently accepting local St. Louis area drop-off and pickup only

Once I receive the ashes, I will begin the process of creating your keepsakes
- Pending order quantity and memorial work load, it will take a minimum of 2 weeks to complete
  - I will keep you updated throughout the process
To begin, your pets ashes will be mixed with a smooth textured cement- adding your selected color accents, pouring with intention
Throughout the creation process, I will speak to them, play their song and say their name to add intention to this meaningful piece
I will engrave your pet’s first initial on the bottom of the heart
Once cured overnight, the piece(s) will be sanded and sealed with a protective coating
Once complete, the memorial palm heart will be placed in a keepsake box and you will be notified for pickup in South City/63109.

PLEASE NOTE:

*Cremated remains vary naturally in texture and composition. Although all remains are carefully prepared, small mineral fragments may appear as light specks within the finished piece, adding to the unique character of each keepsake. Refer to images.

*All pieces are made individually- natural rough edges or tiny bubbles can be common characteristics in cement work. Refer to images.

*Currently mail-in memorial services are not available. This allows me to provide the highest level of care and attention while I Iaunch this special offering.

CANDLE KEEPSAKE

These pet memorial candles honor your fur baby by letting their light continue to shine. It represents a ritual, remembrance, quiet moments, that pair beautifully peace and intention. You’ll always have the custom cement vessel, but when you light the candle you create a comforting space for reflection, grief, and warmth. All candles are hand poured by Urban Candle Company which you can continue to refill once burned down or repurpose the vessel into something else.
